We had a recent Sketchjam theme of “Undead” and I figured a good ole sketch of Vampira would be fun. Her real name was Maila Nurmi and she came up with the idea a campy macabre character and said that the Charles Addams New Yorker cartoons inspired the look. Hence the likeness to Morticia Addams. A painting doodle of a greek lady. Took 30 minutes to sketch out and about 1.5 hours to paint and fix the sketch up via Photoshop. Inspired from Faestock’s photo found here.

A quick colour splash on a previous sketch. I went to see Cirque du Soleir (Alegria) a few weeks ago and the creativity and effort involved in the entire show is inspiring to say the least.

Haven’t posted anything in a while but here are some desk doodles over the last 3 months. I sometimes find cool photos on Deviant Art or Veer and I like to sketch them out. The center one in the first pic and the second and forth one in the third pic are from photos.
