New SketchJam theme and new drawing. The theme was to redraw someone else’s drawong from a previous theme. I chose to redraw Mystique that one of the other Jammers drew for the theme “Favorite Villain.”

Vampira, with curves.
A friend though my previous Vampira wasn’t quite as curvy enough to lure her victims in with so I did up a more cartoonish one to give her a fighting chance.

We had a recent Sketchjam theme of “Undead” and I figured a good ole sketch of Vampira would be fun. Her real name was Maila Nurmi and she came up with the idea a campy macabre character and said that the Charles Addams New Yorker cartoons inspired the look. Hence the likeness to Morticia Addams.
