I had bigger plans for this one as you can see in the sketch but I ran out of time and had to settle for just the main character. I almost spent more time on the background than I did on the central figure. I did up about 4 different backgrounds before I settled on this one. The problem was that I was making the backgrounds too complicated and ther were swallowing up the elf when I really wanted him to stand out but still ‘fit’ in his background.
In the end I was happy with it as I didn’t rely on a outline like i usually do and and I painted a dude for once…even though he is somewhat effeminate. Hard not to be when you’re an elf.
