I dropped some quick colours onto my sketch of Drake I posted earlier. Nice and evil looking, just the way I like my Tiefling warlocks.

I had bigger plans for this one as you can see in the sketch but I ran out of time and had to settle for just the main character. I almost spent more time on the background than I did on the central figure. I did up about 4 different backgrounds before I settled on this one. The problem was that I was making the backgrounds too complicated and ther were swallowing up the elf when I really wanted him to stand out but still ‘fit’ in his background.

In the end I was happy with it as I didn’t rely on a outline like i usually do and and I painted a dude for once…even though he is somewhat effeminate. Hard not to be when you’re an elf.

I did one of these pictures up last year for a charity event called "Mosaic for Mental Health" that is held yearly in Halifax by CMHA to help those who have suffered from mental illness. Here’s last years: http://dorkwerks.com/blog/seeds-of-jubilation/

Drake

Here be a drawing of a friend’s D&D character. A Tiefling Warlock by the name of Drake. Tried to push myself to complete the whole char and not just the upper half like I usually do. Still got a bit lazy on the lower half but that’s the way it goes.

New SketchJam theme and new drawing. The theme was to redraw someone else’s drawong from a previous theme. I chose to redraw Mystique that one of the other Jammers drew for the theme “Favorite Villain.”

A friend though my previous Vampira wasn’t quite as curvy enough to lure her victims in with so I did up a more cartoonish one to give her a fighting chance.

We had a recent Sketchjam theme of “Undead” and I figured a good ole sketch of Vampira would be fun. Her real name was Maila Nurmi and she came up with the idea a campy macabre character and said that the Charles Addams New Yorker cartoons inspired the look. Hence the likeness to Morticia Addams. She went on to Host a few television series including her own titled The Vampira Show.

A painting doodle of a greek lady. Took 30 minutes to sketch out and about 1.5 hours to paint and fix the sketch up via Photoshop. Inspired from Faestock’s photo found here.

A quick colour splash on a previous sketch. I went to see Cirque du Soleir (Alegria) a few weeks ago and the creativity and effort involved in the entire show is inspiring to say the least.

Haven’t posted anything in a while but here are some desk doodles over the last 3 months. I sometimes find cool photos on Deviant Art or Veer and I like to sketch them out. The center one in the first pic and the second and forth one in the third pic are from photos.
